Is there roommate matching?

We will be glad to circulate your contact information to others who are searching for a roommate, but you will need to have roommates secured in order to sign a lease on a multi-person unit.

Are the units all electric?

Yes.

How much is the electricity?

A.

Each unit is metered by ENTERGY. Your bill will be determined by the usage at your unit. We suggest each tenant budget $70 per month to cover the cost of electricity.

How far in advance should I reserve a unit?

A.

We encourage anyone wishing to move in in August to apply at least by early spring.

Q.

How much is the deposit?

A.

The deposit to reserve a unit is $500 per person. Once we sign a lease agreement, this becomes your security deposit.

What is the process to reserve a unit?

A.

First, you will need to submit an application. Once we receive your application and review your credentials we will let you know if we will have a unit available for you and invite you to secure your unit with a deposit. Once we accept your deposit, your unit is reserved.

Is there a restriction on pets at Beau Chene?

A.

Yes. In consideration of our other residents, our community is not conducive to pets.

Are the units furnished?

A.

We provide all of the appliances you will need and blinds in the windows. You will need to bring your own living furniture. Rental furniture is available through Cort Furniture Rental.

Q.

Do I have to be enrolled at LSU to participate in the Good Student Rewards program?

Yes, the Good Student Rewards program is only open to LSU undergraduate students.

Is there security?

Yes. We have BRPD officers who live on the property. The entire property including parking lots, walkways and swimming pool area are all well lit at night with newly installed LED lighting.

How close is the property to LSU?

We are approximately 1.5 miles south of LSU. There is also a bike path to campus and a bus stop steps away.

What is included in the rent?

A.

Included in the rent for your unit is the water, sewer and trash collection. All appliances are also provided including self-cleaning range with glass cooktop, refrigerator with ice-maker, micro-wave, dishwasher and garbage disposal in the kitchen and washer in dryer in the laundry area.
